So we're trying to buy a house in the craziest market ever. Common sense says that when someone is trying to sell you something, you barter for a lower price. But not in North Texas. Here if someone names their price, twenty million people start throwing money at them to become the highest bidder. This is not how I thought home buying was supposed to work, but it is what is.
When up against investors or people relocating from California (to Toyota or a handful of other major corporations that have moved their headquarters here), we have practically nothing to offer. We have no money to wave around or throw. But we're good people, and we do videos. So we are going to work with what we've got. Which is this:
